Danbury, CT : Easton teen critically injured in Redding crash on Sunday night, June 26, 2016

A teenager was critically injured in a car crash Sunday night in Redding, according to police.

Officers arrived to a single car crash on Cross Highway around 10:30 p.m. The car was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control and the car went into the woods and down an embankment, according to a press release from the Redding Police department.

One of the passengers, a 16-year old from Easton, was partially ejected from the vehicle and critically injured. Officers don’t think he was wearing a seatbelt, according to the release.

The driver, a 17-year old male from Easton, and the other passenger, a 16-year old male from Fairfield, had minor injuries, according to the release.

The identities of the three teenagers aren’t being released at this time, according to the release.
The crash is under investigation by members of the Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team.
