Baker County, OR :Idaho man dies in 2-vehicle crash near Durkee on Saturday, July 4th 2015

An Idaho man died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 near Durkee in eastern Oregon, according to Oregon State Police.Troopers said Enrique Jiminez, a 64-year-old Boise resident, was ejected from the 2002 Hyundai Accent he was driving at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and died on the scene.Troopers suspect alcohol use by Jimenez may have been a contributing factor in the crash.Jiminez was traveling west on I-84 when he began to pass a 2010 Ford Ranger driven by 24-year-old Taylor Grove of Phoenix, Arizona, troopers said. Jiminez then swerved into the pickup truck, causing both drivers to lose control of their vehicles and leave the highway.Jiminez was ejected from his car, which rolled several times. Troopers said it appears that he was not wearing a seat belt.Grove wasn't injured, troopers said. OSP did not indicate whether he was using a seat belt.
