Austin,TX : Deadly day on Austin roads after 4 killed in crashes on November, Saturday 11th 2017

Thousands of people safely travel US 183 between MoPac and Capital of Texas Highway every day. But ton Saturday afternoon the unthinkable happened.
"What it appears is that a vehicle was traveling northbound on Research Blvd when it crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle and the four occupants inside the vehicle killing two of them," stated Austin Police Department Senior Police Officer Christopher Irwin.
A Jeep crossed the median and struck a small Fiat head-on, killing two occupants and critically injuring two more, and then struck another car injuring one more. The Jeep's driver survived and police are talking to him about how his car crossed into oncoming traffic.
"It crossed through the cable that was installed there. TxDOT is on scene as well and they're taking an assessment of the damages and what needs to take place in the future."
