Topeka, KS : 23-year-old Topeka woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on February, Sunday 4th 2018

A 23-year-old Topeka woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on the Kansas Turnpike just east of the capital city.

Authorities said the crash occurred at 11:35 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 70 on the turnpike, about two miles east of the East Topeka toll booth.

According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority, Tysharianna Toricia Thomas was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze east on I-70 when the vehicle lost control and struck a barrier wall.

Thomas, who was wearing a seat belt and was alone in the car, was reported injured and was transported to a local hospital.
