Kansas City , MO : Missouri K-9 officer transported to hospital with injures after Car Crash along I - 70 while white suburban performed a U-turn and struck the officer’s vehicle on Monday , March 9th 2015

A Kansas City, Missouri K-9 officer was transported to an area hospital for evaluation after she was involved in a car crash Monday, March 9.

A female KCPD K-9 officer was attempting to join the chase of a Ford F-250 near Manchester and I-70 when a white suburban performed a U-turn and struck the officer’s vehicle.

The suburban caused significant damage to the patrol car, which came to a rest against a city trash truck.

The officer was transported to an area hospital for evaluation, though injures are not too serious. The canine was not injured in the crash.
