Albany, NY : Driver injured in collision with tractor-trailer on Thruway on Monday December 7 2015

The driver of a sedan was hospitalized after being rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on the Thruway in a wreck that shut down a lane of the highway for about two hours Monday afternoon, State Police said.
State Police Sgt. Matthew Izbicki said the car's driver was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Izbicki said the cause of the crash, which occurred shortly before 1:10 p.m. westbound near Exit 24, was under investigation. He did not know the extent of the driver's injuries.
