One person is dead after a crash in Buechel

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Glen Oak and Bradford drives.

Louisville Metro Police said the driver of a Jeep Cherokee struck a man on a moped.

Police said the driver of the moped was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

The name of the victim has not yet been released, but police said he was a white man in his 20s.

The LMPD Traffic Unit continues to investigate the crash.

Charges have not been filed against the driver of the Jeep at this time.
