MONROE ,OH : Monroe woman dies after 2-vehicle collision on July, Thursday 27th 2017

A two-vehicle crash killed a Monroe resident Thursday in LaSalle Township, authorities said.

Mariya Heinzerling, 21, died about 4½ hours after the 2:47 p.m. collision at South Dixie Highway and Otter Creek Road, Monroe County sheriff’s deputies said.

The vehicle she was driving collided with a vehicle driven south on South Dixie by Dallas Dieckmann, 37, of Monroe. The department’s statement did not say which way Ms. Heinzerling was traveling.

Deputies said Mr. Dieckmann was in “stable” condition after the crash at Pro- Medica Monroe Regional Hospital. A hospital spokesman declined to provide further information.

Deputies said both drivers wore seat belts. Their investigation was continuing Friday.
