POWNAL, VT : 54-year-old Williamstown woman dies after 3-car crash in Pownal on Route 7 on Thursday, 11th October 2018

A Williamstown woman died from her injuries after a three-vehicle crash on Route 7 this morning.

Kristie M. Kuziel, 54, was extricated from her Hyundai Santa Fe after her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with another SUV traveling in the opposite lane. She was taken by ambulance to Pownal Elementary School where a Life Net medical helicopter intercepted and flew her to Albany [N.Y.] Medical Center. Police say she sustained serious internal injuries and a broken leg before succumbing to her injuries at the hospital.

Kuziel was not wearing a seat belt, according to a statement from Vermont State Police.
