PROVIDENCE, RI : 7 vehicles involved in Providence chain-reaction crash on Point Street, not far from Eddy Street on Thursday, 14th March 2019

It was anything but a smooth commute for some drivers in Providence Thursday morning.

A total of seven vehicles were involved in a chain reaction crash on Point Street, not far from Eddy Street.

By the video sent to Eyewitness News, it appears a truck crashed into a pickup, setting off the chain reaction. It appears the vehicles were parked on the road, but it's unknown if anyone was inside.

Eyewitness News has contacted Providence police for information. As of Thursday afternoon, it was unknown if there were any injuries or what may have led up to the crash.
