One person injured in Dayton crash
Speed appears to be a factor in a crash that left the driver injured at Wayne and Wilmington avenues in Dayton Saturday
Police and emergency crews responded at approximately 3:30 a.m.
Witnesses told police they saw the vehicle traveling at high speeds on Wayne before it crashed into a wall near an assisted living facility, at 10 Wilmington Place.
The vehicle was heavily damaged. The driver was trapped inside the car for 45 minutes. Rescue crews had to cut off the roof of the car to remove the man from behind the wheel.
He suffered a broken leg and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
