Manatee County ,FL : Sarasota woman dies in S.R. 70 crash on Sunday ,July 12th 2015

A Sarasota woman died Sunday after she lost control of her car on State Road 70.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol: At about 1:40 a.m., Carly Lanea Cogan, 23, drove west on the highway. About 1,700 feet east of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, her 2012 Kia drifted off the road, crossed a sidewalk and struck a concrete utility pole and a fence. Cogan died at the scene.
