Aurora ,CO : SUV loses control, ends up in back yard; 4 people at Aurora hospital ON Saturday morning ,July 11th 2015

Four people were taken to area hospitals early Saturday morning after an SUV they were in crashed and ended up in an Aurora back yard, Aurora police say.

Aurora Police Department Sgt. Chris Carleton told 7NEWS officers got a call of a single car crash in the area of East Florida Avenue and South Kenton Street at about 1:10 a.m.

Carleton said that an SUV was speeding when it lost control and veered off the left side of the road and crashed into a tree, through a fence and ended up rolled over on its side in the back yard of a home.

He also told 7NEWS that four people were inside the SUV at the time of the crash, and at least one of those people was ejected from the SUV. Carleton said the car rolled over onto that person, who remains at a hospital.

Carleton also said alcohol is being investigated as a possible factor leading to the crash.
