Manhattan, KS : Two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 24 on Wednesday, October, 11th 2017

A Manhattan woman was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 24 Wednesday afternoon, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Alexis Hamilton, 35, Manhattan, was driving her 1990 Ponitac passenger car east on U.S. 24 near its intersection with Walters Drive. She was behind a 2017 Mitsubishi SUV driven by Jory Bailey, 39, Anchorage, Alaska. Hamilton’s Pontiac struck the back of Bailey’s car. Bailey pulled over to the left turn lane and Hamilton’s vehicle hit the SUV a second time. Both cars came to rest in the turn lane.

Hamilton was transported to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, according to the report.
