Police have arrested a driver from Washington state on an unrelated charge after her car struck and killed a pedestrian in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Investigators say Beatriz Rivera, of Issaquah, Washington, remained at the scene following the accident at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Officers found a 51-year-old man lying dead in the center turn lane of Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway. His name has not been released pending notification of his family.
Police arrested the 29-year-old Rivera on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant for a probation violation and booked her into the Washington County Jail.
