After hours of delays, traffic is now flowing nicely on the Merritt Parkway
Morning commuters face big delays on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich Friday morning.
A couple of accidents in both the north and southbound lanes required the closure of the left lanes in both directions.
State Police at Troop G said the accidents involved no serious injuries.
The Greenwich accidents near Exit 28 started around 7:30 p.m. Delays continued more than two hours later with the left lanes still closed.
State Police said heavy congestion made it difficult for first reponders to get to the scene and clear the accidents.
