Fairview, TN : Man dead after a wreck on Old Highway 96 in Williamson County on Tuesday, April 19, 2016

A man is dead after an overnight wreck in Fairview in Williamson County.

Police said the driver, 40-year-old Tammy Sabedra, lost control during a curve on Old Highway 96 at Noble King Road and hit a tree around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

The impact of the crash killed her passenger, 44-year-old John Harris of Franklin.

Sabedra was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She remains in critical condition.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, both the driver and passenger tested positive for alcohol and drugs.

Criminal charges are pending against Sabedra.

Old Highway 96 was closed for several hours but reopened just before 5:30 a.m.
