CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC : Driver ejected from overturned car in fatal Ravenel single-car crash on Thursday, 12th September 2024

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has shared the name of the man who died in a single-vehicle crash near Ravenel.
James “Ed” Garvin, 81, of Adams Run, died at the scene of the crash, Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said.
Law enforcement responded to the area of Savannah Highway and Bay Pond Road around 3 p.m. Thursday for reports of the crash.
Initial investigation revealed that the car was headed northbound on Savannah Highway and crossed over the median into the southbound lanes.
