Vernon , VT : 20- Years old woman injured and accused of crashing into a pond while driving drunk on early Sunday morning , March 15th 2015

A 20-year-old Massachusetts woman is accused of crashing into a pond while driving drunk early Sunday morning in Vernon, authorities said.

Taylor L. Tuttle of South Deerfield, Massachusetts, drove off the road and crashed into a pond off Fort Bridgman Road around 2:20 a.m., according to the Windham County Sheriff's Office.

Tuttle was trapped in the car and had to be extricated. She was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.

Tuttle was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and gross negligent operation, authorities said. She is due in court April 14.
