El Dorado, AR : Man injured after a Two car collision on Friday, February 10, 2017
A man was rushed to the hospital after two vehicles crashed at noon on Friday at the corner of North West Avenue and 8th Street, authorities said.
A van associated with La Pegasus Florist & Gifts allegedly crashed into a silver car, which rolled into the Verizon parking lot, one of the employees said.
“After we heard the crash, me and my customer went out to help the guy,” Vernon Williams said.
The man in the silver car was described as about 6’1” and after the crash had a “fist-sized knot” on his leg, he said.
After the crash, the driver of the van walked to the car in the Verizon parking lot, saw the injured man and said “I’m sorry, I didn’t see you,” according to Williams.
The injured man was talking, but Williams suggested he probably wasn’t coherent.
An ambulance took the injured driver to the hospital shortly after authorities arrived.
The driver associated with La Pegasus had no comment.
Local police officers and fire fighters responded to the accident and had roadblocks at 8th Street and S. Parkway Drive.
The scene was cleared by 12:30 p.m.
