Wausau, WI : Hundreds without power after car crashes into power pole in Marathon County early Monday morning, June 27, 2016

A one car crash in Marathon County caused about 300 customers to lose power early Monday morning, according the Marathon County Sheriff's department.

Officials say the crash happened just after 2:30 a.m. on County Highway Z in the Town of Wausau.

They say the lone driver drove off of the road and struck a power pole. An investigation shows the driver was impaired at the time of the crash. That person was not hurt.

The driver was arrested for OWI and authorities say they will continue to investigate this case.

Wisconsin Public Service crews are working to restore power.
