PINEVIEW, NC : A man was killed and another man was injured in a wreck in Pineview on April, Sunday 30th 2017

A man was killed and another man was injured in a wreck in Pineview on Sunday.

Highway Patrol Trooper J. Todd said he was dispatched to Stoney Creek Drive off of N.C. 27 in reference to a single-vehicle wreck at 5:19 p.m.
The vehicle overturned during the wreck.

The driver, David Hughes, 54, of Sanford, died in the wreck, Todd said. The passenger, Charles Anderson, 39, of Sanford, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with serious injuries that were not life-threatening.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
