Paola, KS : Willis D. Hodgson, 78, and Beth E. Hodgson, 77, Couple died in a traffic crash in rural Miami County on Sunday, February 22, 2015

A couple was killed after their car went off the side of a rural Miami County road, overturned and caught fire.

The Miami County Sheriffs Department were called about 2:30 p.m. Sunday to Plum Creek Road north of 335th Street.

The driver, 78-year-old Willis D. Hodgson and a passenger, 77-year-old Beth Hodgson, were dead at the scene. The couple lived in the town of Parker, KS.
An on scene investigation shows that the 2007 Ford Taurus was headed south on Plum Creek Road, left the roadway and overturned.

The accident remains under investigation.
