GREER, SC : A deadly motorcycle crash on Tuesday, August 22, 2017

Troopers and the Greenville County coroner are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash along SC 101 Tuesday night.

The crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. three miles north of Greer, near the intersection of North Rutherford Road.

Troopers said a 43-year-old from Green was riding a 2002 Yamaha when the bike ran off the road, hit a mailbox, and then crashed into trees.

The victim died at the scene.

Troopers said the victim was wearing a helmet.

The coroner has not yet released the victim's name.
