Forsyth, MT : Car engulfed in flames, one killed in crash on Reservation Creek Road and Old Highway 10 west of Forsyth on Sunday, 6th January 2019

Rosebud County officials are working to identify the victim of a fiery one-vehicle crash that happened Sunday in eastern Montana.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:30 a.m. on Reservation Creek Road and Old Highway 10 west of Forsyth.

A 2001 GMC Sierra was southbound on Reservation Creek Road when it failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

After crashing, the vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed. The driver, who remains unidentified, was killed.

The incident is still under investigation, but MHP says alcohol and speed are suspected as factors in the crash.
