Detroit, MI : DDOT driver killed when bus crashes into building on Tuesday morning just before 7 a.m. June 24th 2014
The driver of a DDOT bus was killed Tuesday morning when the bus crashed into a building on Warren Avenue.
DDOT Director Dan Dirks confirmed the death to Local 4, saying the cause of the crash is still being investigated. The driver's name wasn't immediately released.
The crash happened just before 7 a.m. near Haverhill Street, outside Sanders Dry Cleaning.
Police have Warren Avenue shut down in that immediate area. A utility crew is also on the scene to monitor a gas line that was damaged in the crash.
