WAVERLY, IA : A Nashua woman was hurt in a crash on Highway 218 on Wednesday, August 9, 2017

A Nashua woman was hurt in a crash on Highway 218 near Waverly Wednesday afternoon.

Jennifer Snitker, 52, was taken to Waverly Health Center by private vehicle after the crash, reported about 12:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 218 near mile marker 210, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

Troopers said a semi tractor-trailer being drive by Ryan Hoeg, 52, of Hootland, was northbound on the highway when he attempted to make a lane change, strking the rear of Snitker's car. The impact sent Snitker's car into a spin.

Hoeg was cited for improper use of lane.
