Motorcyclist killed after collision with car in Hillsboro
A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a car Wednesday night, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. near 6001 Southeast Davis Road.
According to police, the 23-year-old motorcyclist was riding a 2007 Yamaha and was traveling at about 50 mph. After he passed other vehicles, he was hit by a 2007 Acura driven by a 32-year-old woman from Hillsboro.
Police said the motorcyclist could not stop in time and hit the front, left of the car, which was turning left onto eastbound Davis Road.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Acura was not injured.
No citations have been issued. The crash is still being investigated by police.
