Happy Valley, OR : One woman injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-205 off-ramp to Southeast Sunnyside Road on Tuesday, June 16, 2015

A suspected drunken driver slammed into six cars stopped at a red light on an Interstate 205 off-ramp leading to the death of one woman, according to police.

Emergency crews responded to the southbound off-ramp to Southeast Sunnyside Road at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said a 2003 Infiniti G35 was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the stopped cars.

One of the cars that was hit, a 2009 Ford Escape, sustained heavy damage on the rear, passenger side and front end. The driver of the SUV, Sheilah Krausse, 60, of Happy Valley, was trapped inside.

After firefighters got her out, she was taken to Oregon Health & Science University in critical condition.

Police said Krausse was pronounced dead at the hospital on Wednesday.

The driver of the Infinity was identified as Alexander Delucia Jr., 57, of Happy Valley. He was arrested on charges of felony DUII, first-degree manslaughter, reckless driving and reckless endangering.

Troopers said excessive speed and alcohol are being investigated as factors in the crash. Court records show that Delucia has a long criminal history, including two DUII convictions.
