LEYDEN, Fatal one-car crash in Leyden on Saturday, 1st December 2018

There was a one-vehicle fatal crash in Leyden Saturday evening. Leyden Police received a call at approximately 6:40 p.m. of a single-vehicle crash on Keets Brook Road. When they responded, they discovered a Chevy Silverado off the road and lying on its roof.

James Pachalis, 60, of Leyden, was unconscious in the driver’s seat. No other occupants or persons were involved. He died as the result of injuries he sustained in the crash. His official cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Leyden Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS).
