One Dead Following Motorcycle Accident in LAS VEGAS

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the motorcycle rider who died in a crash early Tuesday morning as 23-year-old Christopher Peistrup. The cause of death was blunt force head and chest trauma. The manner of death was ruled accidental.The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of U.S. 95 near Cheyenne Avenue.According to Nevada Highway Patrol, Peistrup ran his motorcycle in the back of a truck. Troopers say it appears the victim was speeding. The driver of the truck was not hurt and is not expected to face any charges.The crash closed three lanes of southbound U.S. 95 near Cheyenne for several hours as NHP investigated.
