SALT LAKE CITY, UT : Wrong-way driver killed in Parleys Canyon multi-vehicle crash overnight on Wednesday, 13th December 2023

A wrong-way driver was killed and two other drivers were injured late Wednesday in a crash that closed westbound Interstate 80 in Parleys Canyon for about two hours, authorities stated.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a vehicle just before 11:30 p.m. was traveling east in the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a pickup truck and an SUV.

Emergency medical responders pronounced the individual behind the wheel of the eastbound car dead at the scene.
