Raleigh, N.C : 43-year-old Toryally Paktiawal killed in 3-vehicle crash on Six Forks Road on Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2015

One person was killed Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Six Forks Road and Anderson Drive.

Police said 43-year-old Toryally Paktiawal was traveling south on Six Forks Road when 26-year-old Phillip Travis Smith collided with Paktiawal's vehicle while making a left turn onto Anderson Drive.

The impact caused Paktiawal to collide with another vehicle that was stopped on Anderson Drive at its intersection with Six Forks Road, police said.

Paktiawal was pronounced dead at the scene and Smith was transported to Rex Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the third vehicle did not suffer injuries, police said.

Police said the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
