REDDING, CA : Motorcycle driver pronounced dead at Redding crash scene on Saturday, 27th January 2024

A 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of a single motorcycle crash in Redding on Saturday, CHP Redding said.

The initial investigation revealed that the driver was traveling southbound on Dry Creek Road, south of Elk Trail West at a high rate of speed.

After trying to make a left hand turn the driver lost control of the motorcycle and continued traveling in a southerly direction and eventually hit a guardrail on the southbound shoulder, CHP said.
