Bismarck,ND : 21-year-old dies from injuries in crash on February, Thursday 15th 2018

A 21-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

William Buchanan, originally of Raleigh, N.C., but stationed at the Minot Air Force Base, was injured in the crash on Highway 83 and taken to Trinity Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, according to a report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Buchanan was driving a 1996 Toyota Corrolla on Highway 83, when Dennis Surprenant, 31, of Minot, who was driving a 2007 Kenworth truck, attempted to cross the highway and failed to yield to Buchanan. The two vehicles collided at about 10:43 a.m.

Surprenant was not injured in the crash.
