MORRIS, IL : An Arkansas man died in a crash on April, Sunday 30th 2017

An Arkansas man died Sunday afternoon after a crash on I-55 near Route 17 around 2:30 p.m.

Anthony G, Shelton, 55, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was northbound on I-55 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the overpass structure, according to a news release from the Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan.The patient was transported from the scene to Morris Hospital emergency room and was dead on arrival, the release also said.

It appears Shelton was on a business trip.

Callahan’ office and Illinois State Police District 6 are investigating the crash.
