The lone 47-year-old Boyceville man driving a northbound Kia SUV was injured with apparent non-life-threatening injuries and transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

An initial investigation shows the Kia crossed the center line and hit the Chevrolet head-on.

Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor with the driver of the Kia, who appeared to have been operating on the wrong side of the road.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is working on a reconstruction of the crash.

Criminal charges against the 47-year-old driver will be determined by the Dunn County district attorney once evidence is fully gathered.

Names are not yet being released.
