Hattiesburg, MS : Joshua Miller, 16, died in a one-vehicle wreck on I-59 in the Hub City on Tuesday, December 22, 2015

One is confirmed dead in an I-59 one-vehicle accident in the Hub City, according to Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict.

The person confirmed dead is Joshua Miller, 16 of Alabama. Next of kin has been notified, according to Benedict.

He was traveling to New Orleans to see family. Miller hydroplaned and struck a tree, but the wreck in still under investigation.

Miller died at Forrest General from injuries sustained in the wreck.

The other person in the vehicle was also sent to Forrest General. The person's injuries are unknown at this time.

The accident occurred on I-59 past US 49 at Exit 67 Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.

Currently, traffic is allowed to pass in one lane.

Motorists are urged to take an alternate route until the scene is clear.
