An armored car crash caused money to fly around a New Jersey highway Thursday morning — prompting further accidents as drivers chased the loot.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on the westbound side of Route 3 in East Rutherford, cops said.
“Just passed a car accident involving a Brinks money truck, there is cash all over the road and people getting out of cars picking it up!!!!” Twitter user @JessBuchBrohm posted about the incident.
East Rutherford police confirmed in a tweet of their own that the truck was “spilling cash.”
