Two Batavia High School students and a third person were transported to area hospitals following a three-car collision during rush hour the morning of Sept. 14 in Blackberry Township.Traffic was being rerouted near the intersection of Bliss and Seavey roads in Blackberry Township after a morning rush hour crash Sept. 14, Director of Administration for the Kane County Sheriff's Office Pat Gengler said. A 17-year-old Batavia girl was driving west on Seavey Road about 7:44 a.m. when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. Her sister, also 17, was in the car, Gengler wrote in an email.

The 17-year-old Batavia driver was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
