A man walking alongside a Brunswick County road Tuesday night was hit by a vehicle.
According to Trooper McDermott with the State Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Mt. Misery Road near where it connects with Leland School Road shortly after 8:30. While traveling southbound on Mt. Misery, the driver of the 2007 Ford pickup truck did not see the pedestrian, who was walking in the roadway, before hitting him with the passenger side of his vehicle.
The motorist called 911 after hitting the man.
The pedestrian was transported to New Hanover County Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
McDermott said he doesn't expect charges to be filed since the pedestrian was found to be at fault.
