Three people were taken to a Victoria hospital Tuesday after a one-vehicle wreck.

Victoria police officers were dispatched about 5:30 p.m. to the 6000 block of North Navarro Street where a northbound black Nissan Altima struck a pole, said Senior Patrol Officer Bryan Knief, of the Victoria Police Department.

Knief said the vehicle was driving fast in the outside lane when it veered into an entrance at H-E-B Plus! and tried to steer back on Navarro Street but began entering the center lane.

As the vehicle tried to swerve back to the outside lane, it hit the curb and struck the pole, Knief said.

Knief said three people were in the vehicle, including Glenn Beatty, 24, of Victoria, who was in the back seat. Information about the other two occupants was not available Tuesday.

The three were taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro with unspecified injuries, Knief said. No citations were issued.
