Billings, MT : Wyoming woman dies in a rollover crash near Decker in Big Horn County on Tuesday, July 26, 2016
A 23-year-old woman from Lander, Wyoming, was killed in a rollover crash near Decker in Big Horn County, just north of the Montana-Wyoming border.
The Montana Highway Patrol tells The Billings Gazette the crash was reported at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on Secondary Highway 314.
The patrol says the woman was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that went off the road. The 22-year-old Sheridan, Wyoming, man who was driving overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide across the highway and then roll twice. The woman was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the SUV. She died at the scene.
The driver was hospitalized, but his condition was not known.
Officials were withholding the woman's name until her family could be notified.
