Driver cut from car following Westisde crash
One person had to be cut out of their vehicle after a crash on Friday on the city's westside.
It happened at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Ramona Boulevard shortly before 11 a.m.
A police officer on scene said a green SUV headed eastbound on Lenox hit a second SUV on its passenger side.
The second SUV was flipped over onto its driver side due to the force of the impact.
Its driver, who is believed to be male, had to be cut out through the roof and taken to the hospital. Three people were inside of the green SUV, but only required transport from the scene in an ambulance.
The officer said the driver of the second SUV will likely be ticketed for making an incorrect left turn from Lenox onto Garth Avenue, but the investigation is ongoing.
None of the injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. Lenox is open again after being shut down for about one hour.
