Lyndon, VT : Two teens injured after being hit by car in Lyndon on Tuesday, March 22, 2016

Two teens crossing the street in Lyndon were hit by a car Tuesday. It happened at about 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Center Street and College Road.

Police say two 15-year-old girls were crossing at a well-marked crosswalk when they were struck by Joshua Hastings, 25. Both girls were transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital and one was later airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in the accident and the investigation is still ongoing.
