The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate a fatal head-on collision on Sunday night that killed two people.

According to the Highway Patrol, that crash happened on Two Notch Road near Kelly Mill Road around 11:30 p.m. when one car drove into the northbound lane of Two Notch and slammed into another car head on.

Two were killed as a result of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified the victims as Teresa Potteiger Soto, 51, and Sylina Johnson Mitchell, 42.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car who swerved into the northbound lane was taken to the hospital and listed in serious condition.

The two killed in the crash were not wearing seat belts.
