Monett,MO : Monett school bus involved in minor collision on March, Monday 19th 2018

Monett school children in Dean Ferguson's class had an unexpected side trip when their school bus collided with another vehicle in Republic on Monday on the way back from a field trip they took to the botanical garden in Springfield.

No injuries were evident in examinations conducted at the scene or the next day at school, according to Principal Sarah Garner.

Garner said the collision took place around 1:30 p.m. The full-sized Monett school bus carrying 20 children collided with a vehicle that pulled into its path at the intersection of East Harrison Street and Highway 60. The impact at the front end of the bus left no visible damage.

Garner said that following protocol, she and school nurse Sheena Parrigon went to the scene.
