Richland County, SC : Pedestrian killed after being struck by 2 vehicles in Hopkins on Thursday night, November 24, 2016

The Richland County Coroner has identified the victim killed Thursday night after being hit two vehicles.

According to the coroner, 30-year-old Herberto Nicholas Burgos, II, of Hopkins died at the scene of the collision. The coroner says autopsy results indicate Burgos died from multiple trauma.

Troopers say the incident occurred at about 8:50 p.m. Thursday on Air Base Road in Hopkins. According to troopers, Burgos was walking in the roadway and was struck by a southbound vehicle, which threw him into the northbound lane where he was struck by another car.

The victim died at the scene.

The drivers of the vehicles were not injured.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
