EDINBURGH, IN : 2 found dead in pickup truck near Camp Atterbury on Saturday, 13th August, 2016

Police in central Indiana say two bodies were found in the back of a pickup truck near the Indiana National Guard’s Camp Atterbury.

Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said Saturday that police aren’t looking for a suspect and there is no danger to the public. Cox said a man watching deer discovered the bodies of a man and woman about 7:12 a.m. Saturday. Cox said the bodies were in the back of a pickup truck off the road.

Cox said the man yelled at the pair but received no response. He said the man got out of his truck to check on the pair when “he saw blood and called emergency personnel.”

Sheriff’s deputies and emergency medical workers responded and determined the two were deceased.

The deaths are under investigation.
