Pedestrian hit by car on US-192 in Melbourne

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Brevard County late Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 10:20 a.m. in Mlbourne, shutting down U.S. Highway 192 at Evans Road.
Melbourne police said the pedestrian was in critical condition.
The cause of the accident was not immediately released.
